Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch Compatible Class 5 Trailer Hitch Receiver on 1984 Chevy C10
Question:
Going to install class 5 hitch on 1984 Chevrolet C10 Scottsdale model. Need to buy a weight distribution system for trailer hook up. Can you provide that. I used to install Reese hitches years ago. 50 years ago and the bars were always a mystery to me. Quite a feat of engineering.

I recommend the B&W Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122 for your 1984 Chevy C10. With a weight distribution hitch it really comes down to the weight of the trailer. You will want to select a hitch which falls in the amount of tongue weight range of the hitch but also does not exceed the maximum trailer load rating. Personally the Equal-i-zer systems are my go to thanks to their great quality and functionality that other manufacturers strive to compete with.

800-1,200lbs Tongue Weight, Trailer Up to 12,000lbs # EQ37120ET
1,000-1,400lbs Tongue Weight, Trailer Up to 14,000lbs # EQ37140ET
1,200-1,600lbs Tongue Weight, Trailer Up to 16,000lbs # EQ64FR
