How to Find the USCAR Connector on a 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser
Question:
Good day: I have a Toyota Land Cruiser 2018 and I want to install a harness for the trailer lights. As I see the part number Item # 319-R7-02 is the one that works. But to be honest I dont find where to connect the two plugs the harness has. Can you illustrate me where are this plug located on my car? I live outside the USA so I cannot take my car to any installer. I will have to do it myself. Regards

There might be a reason you can't find the connector on your 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser. The EZ Connector Magnetic 7-Way Trailer Connectors w/ Watertight Seal item # 319-R7-02 is designed to plug into the USCAR connector that comes with vehicles that have a factory 7-way from the factory. USCAR stands for United States Council for Automotive Research. If your Land Cruiser wasn't designed for sale in the United States you probably do not have one.
To find it you will want to trace back the wiring from your Land Cruiser's factory 7-way beneath your vehicle. You'll eventually come to a connection point where the 7-way wiring harness connects to a larger bundle of wires which you will need to disconnect. If the connector does not look like the one in the picture below you won't be able to install the EZ Connector item # 319-R7-02 without cutting and splicing wires.
