Is there a Difference Between Boat Tire and Wheel Assemblies Over Standard Ones?

Question:

This tire/wheel assembly is not specifically listed for use on a boat trailer whereas several others are. Is there a difference between the several that are listed for use on boat trailers and if so, what is the difference?

Yes, there is and it's the wheels. Boat trailer wheels like the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel item # AM31952 have galvanized wheels that are designed to be used in the water. They won't rust like the steel wheel on the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" White Wheel item # AM31951 you were looking at.

Both of these wheel tire combos have the exact same ST175/80R13 tire with a load range of C item # AM10199. Both have 5 on 4-1/2 lug patterns. If they are going on a boat trailer, I highly recommend spending the extra money to purchase the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel item # AM31952.
