Troubleshooting LED Trailer Lights Not Working With Curt Wiring Harness on 2012 Nissan Rogue
Question:
My vehicle is Nissan Rogue 2012 was listed as compatible with the item . I already checked wiring , everything is right . Old dim lights were working properly, but new LED lights dont work. I think new lights have too high resistance and Curt T-Connector harness doesnt recognize the load . How to solve the problem ? Nobody mentioned T-harness is not compatible with LED lights when i bought it . I spent money on harness and newer LED Lights , lot of time to install them and everything was in vain? Best regards

It is unlikely the Curt Wiring Harness # C56033 is to blame. It is compatible with LED lights and is going to send power to the 4-way regardless of the type of lights you have installed on your trailer. Considering the fact that it worked with your incandescent lights before, I'm sure you will find it has power if you use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 or even and LED tester like the Curt # I26.
I would double check the lights on the trailer side to make sure they are working properly. With the trailer hooked up, check for power right behind the trailer connector. If there is no power make sure your trailer side connector is clean and undamaged. If you have power here then go ahead and check the wires directly behind the lights you just installed. If they don't have power here there must be a short somewhere. If they do, double check the wiring for the lights.
