Replacing A Dometic DuoTherm 59136 Rooftop Condenser Unit While Still Keeping The Thermostat
Question:
Hello, I have a 2003 RV with two duotherm 59136 units. It also has a 5 button duotherm thermostat. Is there a list of units that’s can replace the existing 59136 and function with the same thermostat? Thank you.

If you're only wanting to replace the condenser (rooftop) unit and retain your air distribution box and thermostat you'll be able to swap in the Advent Air # ACDOM150 that you were looking at. You'll just need to remove the cover for the air distribution box and look for the wire harness that hangs down from the condenser and plugs into the control box. Once you find it there should be either a 6-pin or 9-pin connector. If you have a 6-pin connector then you're good to go. For 9-pin connectors you'll need an adapter # ACCOLKIT in order to plug in the new unit.
I've attached a video below where I'll show you the connector and adapter and give some tips on finding it if yours control box isn't hidden in the ceiling and is instead in the condenser unit. I've also attached John's installation video to help walk you through swapping out the units.
