Does The Battery Need To Be Disconnected When Flat Towing A 2023 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I have a 2023 Chevy Equinox that I flat tow. I get the tire screech going around cloverleaf’s. Someone golf me about a GM bulletin GCUS-9-15364 that you now disconnect the negative terminal on the battery to correct this problem. I can’t find anything directly from GM about it and was wondering if you guys knew about the change.

Yes, GM does require that the battery of a 2023 Chevy Equinox is disconnected before flat towing. If you don't want the hassle of opening the hood and removing the cable each time then you can install the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766. This comes with a switch that you can mount to the dash that will allow you to disconnect and reconnect the battery with the push of a button.
