Parts Needed to Install a Primus Brake Controller on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma and 2008 GMC Yukon
Question:
I need one brake controller proportional and associated harnesses for mounting the Tekonsha Primus IQ alternating between these two vehicles. I would like to be able to unplug/plug from one to the other without wiring? The Toyota has a Reese time delay brake controller thats on the fritz. The Toyota came with a harness and all I had to do was connect wires once installed. Im assuming Ill need 1 Brake controller with harness 1 extra harness and 1 extra mounting clip? Thanks in advance!

For the 2007 Toyota Tacoma, if it is using wiring harness # 3040-P then you will not need anything else for the Tacoma. Or if using the factory Toyota harness you could replace it with # 3040-P. The harness will plug into the Primus brake controller # TK90160. I have linked a video showing how it would install on your generation Tacoma.
On the 2008 GMC Yukon you will need plug-in harness # 20127 because the Yukon has a tow package wire bundle under the dash and not a place to plug into. And for a mounting bracket use # 6927. I have included a link to a help article that explains the installation on the Yukon.
