Roof Rack, Ladder Rack, and Tonneau Cover that Fits 2016 Ford F-150 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

Hello, I was wondering about the compatibility of this roof rack system with the TruXedo Elevate Truck Bed Rack System - 18inch or 28inch - 63inch Rails - Aluminum - TX96NV. More specifically, if the hight of these bars would plane out with the bars in the rear or if there are spacers to adjust possibly. 2016 F-150 xlt 2.7 eco boost Super crew cab 4x4 5.7foot bed. No existing rails or crossbars. I currently have the TruXedo Sentry CT Tonneau Cover and plan to use the door jamb clips and feet for the roof racks. I am open to other recommendations for creating the best tonneau cover, over the bed ladder rack and roof rack combination. Thanks in advance

The height adjustability of the Truxedo Elevate Ladder Rack part # TX96NV that you mentioned will not match the height of the Rhino Rack roof rack that fits your 2016 Ford F-150 part numbers # RRVA150B-2, # RRRLKVA, # DK427 as we have found that the ladder bars would be a few inches taller when in the taller setting of 28 inches.

So instead the ladder rack you would want is the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Tonneau Cover Adapters # Y01151-5855 as this can have the bars set at the correct height unlike the Truxedo which only gives you two settings. This also comes with tonneau cover adapters for the ones that have T-slots built into their rails like the Retrax XR cover part # RTT-70373 that is confirmed to fit your truck too.

So with the Rhino Rack roof rack, the Yakima ladder rack, and the Retrax tonneau you'd have everything you are looking for.
