What Info Is Needed to Pick Out Replacement Axle for Trailer
Question:
Hello, i would like to upgrade to min 3500 lb rated axel. How would i go about doing this? This custom trailer measures approx 10ft long by5ft wide. It currently has 4 lug 5.30x12 tires rated at 1090lb each. Would i have to remove the entire hub/support of the current tires and place the new axel there? Or could i install the new axel towards the front and benefit from the two axels?

When picking out an axle for a trailer you'll need to know the overall length of it from hub face to hub face as well as the distance between the spring seat centers to pick out correct size.
I also attached a link to a page with all of the axles we carry.
