To add a front mount hitch to your 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS, I recommend the Curt item # 31302. This hitch is custom fit and specially designed for the LD models of the 2004 Silverado 1500s. It will bolt to your truck with included hardware.
The Curt Front Hitch item # 31302 has a 2" receiver that has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 500 lbs maximum tongue weight. I have linked an installation video below to help you get it set up.
The Draw-Tite Front Hitch item # 65028 you were looking at only fits the 1500 HD models. Unless the 1500 emblem by your door says HD at the end of it this one will not fit your truck and you'll need to go with the Curt item # 31302.
