Finding the correct tension on an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System like part # EQ37100ET is a bit of a process that will likely involve some trial and error. The idea is that when it is all said and done, you want the trailer and the truck to be level. So it will involve finding the correct height for the hitch ball, and finding the correct angle for the spring bars. We made a video that shows in detail how to determine the correct tension. You will find the video linked below. If you fast forward to about the 18:15 mark you can see him go over all of this.
I have also linked the instruction manual for the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System. It goes over setting up weight distribution starting on page 11 step 6.
