Is The Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550024 The Best Option For 24 F-250 In Bed Hitch System?

Question:

2024 Ford Super Duty F-250 Crew Cab 6 3/4 bed with the 5th wheel prep package. Is this the best autoslide to purchase or is there a better product that would meet my needs? The 2024 Grand Design Reflection 260RD is the 5th wheel we are looking to purchase. We have a driveway that declines from a flat road about 5 ft at about a 6 degree down slope or on a pitch scale 1.25 than the slop changes to left at a 8 degree downward slope or a 1.5 on a pitch scale which in a few more feet finally ends up into a flat surface. Basically backing trailer into the spot in the circle drive would, I guess be similar to a semi trailer when turn rides over the curb and the trailer tips to the side. Can the slide be set all the way back while backing 5th wheel straight back to allow a little more clearance for the downward pitch of driveway? I do have a straight part of the circle drive which not particularly idea because the power outlet is on the other side of house. The straight down slope from the flat road on this section shows about a 6 degree slope or on a pitch scale 1.25

The Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550024 is the best option for your 2024 Ford Super Duty F-250 short bed with the 5th wheel prep package. I do recommend considering the 21K Version # DM8550038 as well since the hitch is designed to last and you may want to upgrade later down the road.

The hitch cannot be locked to the rear position as it uses gearing to push the head back as you turn so as the head turns when you turn the head on the hitch will move back up to 14". As long as you have the 6" clearance between your bed rails and the underbelly on your 5th wheel hangover you shouldn't have any issues with clearance even on your slope.
