How Much Rear Clearance Does The RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away Bike Rack # RKY37ZR Have?
Question:
Very interested in the rocky mounts afterparty - one question though - I have a sprinter van with an owl Spare tire on the back. Is there enough clearance for the bikes with the spare tire rack on or would a trailer extender hitch be needed? Seems like rack is fairly close when tilted up without bikes. How much space between the Mount and vehicle when carding bikes and when folded up not carrying bikes? Thanks

The RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away Bike Rack # RKY37ZR is going to be 7-1/2" when folded up from the hitch pin center hole to the closest tray on the rack. With the rack laid down for loading bikes the tray for the first bike is going to be roughly 16" from the hitch pin center hole. With these measurements you will be able to check and ensure if you will have the clearance needed on your Sprinter van with the rear spare tire rack.
