What Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Is Compatible With Air Lift Air Bags For a 2023 Chevy 2500HD Short Bed?

Question:

Hi. I have a 2023 Chevy 2500HD, CCSB, diesel. I am very close to purchasing a 5th wheel trailer that is near my max pin weight and within rated total trailer weight. For greater stability you suggested the ir Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs # AL57541, which I reviewed and agree - it should work well. I have a related question. I will also be installing a gooseneck ball hitch as the 5th wheel trailer I am purchasing already has a Reese 16k GooseBox Gen2 already installed. I have looked on etrailer.com and there are many options for the gooseneck underbed hitch. Are these compatible with the Airlift system? Not clear if they will interfere with each other at the frame mounting point. Can you please suggest an underbed hitch that is compatible with the Airlift 7500 XL system?

The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1020 is going to be compatible with the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs # AL57541 on your 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD crew cab diesel. I have linked an installation video near the bottom of this page which shows the air springs being installed on a 2020 Silverado that already had the B&W Turnover hitch installed.

I prefer the B&W as they have a great reputation for quality and you can add a 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 or Sliding 5TH Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400 for the additional clearance needed with a short bed truck.

The Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000 is my favorite compressor we carry. This unit has a smart manifold which allows you to control the air pressure from a wireless remote. But best of all it monitors the air pressure in each spring while you drive and will automatically make adjustments should the pressure change by more than 3psi.
