Replacement Parts For Fulton Straight channel Coupler For 1-7/8 Inch Trailer Ball

Hello I have a trailer that has a Fulton 1 7/8 coupler and the latch broke. I was wondering if you could tell me if Repair Kit for Husky Channel Tongue Trailer Couplers - 1-7/8inch Ball - 2,000 lbs Code: HT87082 would work? It looks the same as mine but not sure if it would work. thank you

I spoke with my contact at our supplier and they no longer supply the repair kits for 1-7/8 inch straight channel couplers. They told me that what most customers have been doing is purchasing the coupler and removing the parts they need to do the repair. I cannot recommend the Husky Repair Kit, part # HT87082 you referenced because manufacturers do not test fit components made by other companies.

Many times the coupler is a bolt-on, and can be easily replaced. If the coupler has been welded on then it is sometimes easier to just replace with the parts from a new coupler instead of grinding the old coupler off and having the new one welded on the trailer.

I recommend part # E112000340. This is a bolt-on coupler that fits trailers with a 2 inch frame. The distance between the mounting holes is 2-1/4 inches and this comes with a 3 year warranty.
