How to Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer if 2016 Ram 2500 Has RamBox Kit in Bed
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Ram 2500 with Ramboxes. I just purchased a 5th wheel RV with a Reese 10k Revolution pinbox. I was told that I need to figure out if I will need a wedge placed in the pinbox. Also, I need to figure out what type of hitch I will need for this set up and, accordingly, I will be needing to have the appropriate attachment to the frame of the truck installed. Please help! Thanks!

I'm glad to hear that your RV has the Reese Revolution pin box because that's the only way you'll be able to tow a 5th wheel with the RamBox setup on your 2016 Ram 2500. Thankfully, we've dealt with this before so I know what exact parts you're needing:
- Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16427-204
- B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3255
- 5th Airborne Custom Wedge # SWW-06
This gives you the rails, 5th wheel hitch, and the wedge needed to tow your trailer, but I also recommend checking out the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector # PK11893-11932 which gives you a second 7-Way connector to put in your truck bed so it's easier to hook your RV wiring to your truck.
