Recommendation For A Tow Hitch That Fits 2014 Jeep Latitude
Question:
I just purchased a 2014 Jeep Latitude with the 4 cylinder engine. I want to add a tow hitch. I have a 5x8 trailer with 2000 max. I only tow a quad to the shop now and then, or pick up stuff at the local home depot. Usually a few sheets of plywood, or drywall for home projects.

The etrailer class III hitch # e73ZR is a fit for your 2014 Jeep Latitude. This Class III hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 500 pounds.
I recommend you review your Cherokee owner's manual to verify your vehicle's weight/towing capacities, which may differ from those for the hitch. If different, the lower of the two becomes the overall limit for the system.
The recommended wiring for your hitch is # 118605. The recommended ball mount is # C45010. If you need a hitch ball with a 1-7/8 inch diameter the recommended ball is # 19260. The recommended 2-inch diameter hitch ball is # 63845.
I have included a link to the trailer hitch installation instructions.
