Troubleshooting 7-Way Wiring With Modulite On 2009 Honda Pilot

Question:

I have Honda Pilot 2009 ex-l and I purchased from you 7 way flat wiring harness. I installed all parts and relays when I connected 7way flat to 4 way adapter I have the turn lights and brake light but no tail lights.

You will want to check your factory 4-way plug to make certain it is functioning properly on your 2009 Honda Pilot. Unplug the new harness and test the 4-way plug by using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. Test each pin to make sure everything is working properly with the trailer disconnected.

If that checks out then you need to connect the new harness, and make sure all of the relays and fuses have been installed properly. Use the circuit tester to check that all of the wires leading into the Modulite to make sure they are receiving the right signals from the vehicle. Then check the wires leading out of the Modulite to make sure they are working correctly. If all of the wires are working properly you will have to check your trailer wiring starting at the harness.

You will want to make sure your ground wires are correctly fastened to clean bare metal surfaces. I have attached some helpful articles and videos that explain how to troubleshoot wiring.
