I recommend the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550038 as the best option for your 2024 Ford F-250 short bed. This hitch will drop into your factory mounts so you will not need to have an additional adapter. Since this is an autoslide hitch it will automatically slide back along the hitch rails up to 14" as you turn to prevent the front corners of your trailer from hitting the cab during tight turns.
You may need a locking plate for specialty pin boxes such as the Rhino # DM76FR or MORryde # DM6025.
