Do I Leave the Jaws Open or Closed When Not Using the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch?
Question:
I have a 5W BandW Companion Slider hitch in my F350s puck system. When the 5W is NOT hitched up to the truck and were rolling down the road, should I have the pin for the lever of the Companion in the position to have the jaws closed or in the position to have the jaws open? Thank you.

You will want to have the jaws closed when driving down the road with your B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider item # BWRVK3370. This takes all of the tension out of the springs. All the components are basically resting at this point. The only time you'll want to pin the jaws open is when you are hooking up or disconnecting from your trailer.
