Is Aftermarket Factory Cover Plate Available for Hitch Installation on 2018 Tesla Model 3

Question:

Hi, is there a door panel I can buy to cover the cut out for the hitch on the underbody of my 2018 Model 3? I have the version that doesn’t have the removable panel for hitches. Thanks.

Since you do not have the removable factory cover plate the only option is to cut the gravel guard and leave the hole there when installing the # 391TES317. This won't really be noticeable or cause any harm to the vehicle. Unfortunately, nobody makes any kind of replacement panel you could use.

You might be able to get a shop to rig something up using the piece from cutout but I don't know how effective that would be. The only other option would be to talk to Tesla and swap out the whole gravel guard for one with the cover plate but that wouldn't be worth the cost.
