Recommended Shackle Upgrade Kit For A 1965 Streamline Empress
Question:
Jesse was doing a great job answering my questions regarding my 1965 Streamline Empress. He asked that I respond back if my shackle size was different than the commonly found ones. I measured from mid bolt to mid bolt several times and the distance is 2.5” with a shackle length of 4.25. What shackle upgrade kit can I use? As per Jesse’s recommendations I have the other parts needed. Ty

You will want to go with the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR, which comes with the 2-1/2" long shackles. This kit has all wet bolts, bronze bushings and heavy-duty 1/2" thick shackles. Adding this along with the other parts we discussed is going to be a very nice upgrade, especially if the current suspension is stock.
