Recommended 4-Pole Trailer Wire Harness For A 2011 Subaru Forester
Question:
I have a 2011 Subaru foresters I would like to wire for a 4 way trailer connection. This should be plug and play, but my vehicle’s plug is gone and I’m staring at a bunch of wires where it should be. Do y’all have what I need to install a new plug on my vehicle so I can install a Curt converter and make it plug and play again. If not, what are my options for getting the trailer lights connected. Thanks!

The factory connector for your 2011 Subaru Forester should be located in the back cargo area under some trim on the driver's side. I've attached a short video below showing how to find this connector. If the factory connector for 4-pole wiring really is missing then you would need to reach out to Subaru for a replacement connector, but you'll likely just be told no or to buy an entirely new harness which wouldn't be worth the hassle.
if you find the connector you'll want the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 for an easy plug-and-play installation. if the connector is gone then you'll have to go with a splice in Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236.
