How to Wire the Reese Brakeman Brake Controller On a 2020 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

I have a 2020 toyota tacoma, how do I connect the reese brakeman compact brake controller to my truck. The controller has blue, white, red, black wires. The truck has white/blk, black, blue, then it has two small wires that are one green and one purple. With the truck switched on the truck blue wire is hot, I think it was the small purple wire the gets hot when pushing brake pedal.

While we don't carry the Reese Brakeman the hookup for brake controllers is pretty much the same across the board, so you'd need to connect the white wire from the brake controller to the vehicle ground, the black from brake controller to the 12V power wire to your vehicle, the red wire from the brake controller to the stop light switch which you said you've already identified as the small purple wire, and the blue wire from the controller to the blue trailer brake wire on your vehicle.
