Can Curt Hitch Fit 2013 Volkswagen Golf R

Can it be fitted to golf r with modifications?

I spoke with my contact at Curt about their # C11000, and was told that it will not fit the Volkswagen Golf R model. It is never recommended to modify trailer hitches as it can void the warranty and may create an unsafe condition.

If you were interested in using the hitch for a bike rack, we carry bike racks that are a confirmed fit for the R model. To see the compatible models, click the provided link.

For a 2 bike carrier I recommend the Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV or OutWay 3 part # TH56BV, which is the 3 bike model. The rack features an integrated cable lock to deter theft.

To carry women's bikes or bikes with alternative frames like childrens bikes, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter attaches to the seat post and the handle bar stem, and provides a level attach point so the bike has greater ground clearance and is level on the carrier.
