Is the Hardware on Longview Custom Towing Mirrors for a 2011 Ram Made of Plastic
Question:
Im looking at the CIPA CM11400 and the Longview LVT-3100C and I was wondering if the thumbscrew on the Longview LVT-3100C is plastic threaded like the CIPA model or are they metal?

Both the Longview towing mirrors, # LVT-3100C, and the CIPA towing mirrors # CM11400 use plastic mounting hardware including the threads. Plastic may not seem durable but it is corrosion resistant and will also help prevent over-torquing the hardware which could damage the factory mirror housing.
