Suggestions For Removing Play Between Draw-Tite QSP Silencer/Cover and End of Receiver

The 63080 Draw Tite hitch silencer and cover is WAY too loose on my Curt e53AR hitch. Suggestions?

With the Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover # 63080 fitting loose on your Hitch # e53AR the only way to make it fit would be to add material on the hitch. This device is specifically designed for Draw-Tite receivers and it is not always exactly the same end across all manufacturers. You can try cutting some thin strips of steel to place between the cover and the end of your receiver to reduce the play. But the best fix is going to involve welding onto the receiver collar and grinding down the weld to better fit the cover.
