Is there a Base Plate Kit that Lets me Keep the Tow Hooks on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Question:
I have a 2021 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 with front recovery points. I am looking to flat tow behind a motorhome. Are there flat tow systems that would allow me to use the recovery points? I really do not want to give up the recovery points for off roading and do not want to use a trailer or dolly for towing. What is available?

No, the tow hooks come off no matter what brand of base plate you use. This is extremely common amongst SUVs and trucks with flat towing set ups. That's a solid anchor point and attaching a base plate there hides it extremely well.
Here are the parts I recommend you use to set up a 2021 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 to be flat towed:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar item # RM-520 and item # RM-643
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM-521440-5
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267 or item # RM63MR if your Jeep has the proximity sensors
Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
