What Can Cause a Trailer Tire to Fail Prematurely
Question:
To rob Equestion. Can it be caused by backing travel trailer too tightly and the tires scrubbing across the road I am strick with pressures. Use a gauge to check pre trip and TPMS while on road. They always agree +-1 psi Caused explosive blowout 2x. Third tire going bad also. Brand of tires NATIONAL. Thanks ??

Using the wrong tire pressure can cause the problems you described but it sounds like that's not your issue. I wouldn't blame it on tire scrubbing like you mentioned either. The other things to check is age (probably not case since it sounds like your tires are newer), weight capacity, and speed rating.
