Recommended Tire Chains for a 2018 Cadillac Escalade w/ 275/55-R20 Tires
Question:
Hi am looking for a decent light duty on road only snow chain for my 2018 Escalade SUV. I currently use 275/55/20 tires on the vehicle. Which chains would work well given wheel clearance of the vehicle? Thanks.

I have a set that will work, however your 2018 Cadillac Escalade's owners manual says not to use tire chains because of clearance issues on the inner part of the tires.
To avoid damaging brake lines and suspension pieces on the inside of your Escalade's wheel wells you'll need to use the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains item # KON84FR. The reason you can get away with using these is because they have a unique design where they mount on your tires using one of the lug nuts for the wheel. This mounting method eliminates the need for a chain on the back side of the tires.
The Konig K-Summit Tire Chains item # KON84FR are sold as a pair. I have linked an installation video below that will show you how to get them set up. I highly recommend practicing installing these before you actually need to use them.
Please note that the Konig Tire Chains item # TH01594267 you were looking at are not recommended for your 2018 Escalade with 275/55/R-20 tires. If you put these chains on yours you won't have enough clearance and run the risk of causing some damage to brake lines and suspension components.
