MPPT Solar Controller For Lithium LiFePO4 Batteries & Solar Panels on Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have a 2021 Geo Pro 15TB. It currently has an OEM Go Power 100 watt solar panel plus I added another Go Power 190 watt solar panel on the roof 290 watts. I also have a 100 watt solar suit case that I can use when needed. It has 1000 watt inverter. Finally, it came with a Go Power Solar Controller. I swapped out the dual 12v deep cycle batteries for 2, 12V 105Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate LiFePO4 Batteries. The Go Power Solar Controller is supposed to work with Lithium, but it doesnt. In talking to Go Power, they said to put the setting on AGM but this doesnt allow it to fully charge. 2 questions: What recommendation do you have for a new Solar Controller that can manage the Solar Panel watts as listed above including an MPPT Solar Controller. And, do I need a larger inverter? Thanks

I reached out to Go Power, who said for your situation what you should use is the following MPPT controller:

- Go Power MPPT Solar Charge Controller - 30 Amp - 12V and 24V # GP72RR

This will work with your set up and lithium LiFePO4 batteries. As for the inverter, if your current one is correct for the power load you have, a new one is not necessary.
