Parts Needed To Use Thule T2 Pro XTR 1-1/4" Bike Rack On Vehicle With 2" Receiver Hitch.
Question:
Hi, I have a thule rack with a 2inch receiver only one i can have for vehicle. Rack has 1.25. Do you make a adapter that will allow this connection? I really dont need it extended, as you can see, I have an extender already, which is too long....

The design of the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH23JV you have is only for a 1-1/4" receiver so you must use an Extender/Reducer # C45770 when installing on a vehicle with a 2" receiver. You can replace the Lower Assembly # TH37MY which will convert your current bike rack to fit the 2" receiver without an adapter. This will effectively give you the Thule # TH83JV bike rack. As that is a very expensive part you might consider switching to a bike rack like the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU74FR. The Kuat allows you to use it on 1-1/4" and 2" receivers as they build in an bracket which easily attaches to the insert when you need to use the rack on a vehicle with a 2" receiver. This rack is capable of supporting bikes up to 40lbs each which should not be an issue for your carbon framed bike in the image. It can also be used with class I or II trailer hitches should your other vehicle have that limitation.
