Recommended Hitch for a 1997 Eldorado Aerotech Shuttle Bus Build on a Ford E-450 Chassis
Question:
Hi I need a class V trailer hits for a 1997 Eldorado Aerotech Shuttle bus. Its on a Ford E450 SuperDuty Chassis. The universal would work on the widthy but I am concerned about the bracket heights as I think they will be too long. Can they be cut to the proper size or can shorter brackets be added like the 7.5 inch ? Please advise.

I have a solution for you but the brackets on the Curt item # 15903 can not be cut and there are no shorter options. I recommend using the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 41990-07 instead. This is also a class V universal hitch with a 2" receiver. It however includes brackets that provide a 7" drop. It can also be bolted on or welded.
I have attached a diagram below so you can compare the dimension of these brackets to your Eldorado's frame to make sure they will work. If you have any additional questions feel free to email me directly.
