Recommended 7-Way Connector for a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited w/out the Tow Package

Question:

I just got a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It does not have the tow package and I am going to pick up a camper with brakes. I found your etrailer hitch but I am coming up short on a 7-way wiring harness. Is this something you can help me with? Also what other parts will I need?

Yes, I would be happy to help you! To tow a trailer with brakes and install a 7-Way harness on your 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you will need two separate wiring harnesses because they don't make just one that'll do the job.

The first harness you'll need is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 56407. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Jeep's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights. This will provide you with a 4-flat connector.

The second harness you will need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.

The rest of the parts you will need to tow a trailer with your 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited are listed below:

Trailer Hitch - etrailer Hitch item # e98856

Wiring Harness Mount - No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136

Brake Controller - Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR and Wiring Adapter item # RED69FR

Ball Mount - Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534

I have linked several installation videos below to help you get these parts installed. I have also attached a couple of pictures so you can see what the etrailer Hitch item # e98856 looks like once installed.
