Does Running Replacement Lippert Coach Step Motor part # LC301695 Before Install Affect It
Question:
Im replacing the step motor on a Beaver Coach that was manufactured with a Coach Step 300-1406. Prior to installing the new motor, I momentarily connected the new motor connector , and the motor ran briefly. Have I now violated the caution about preserving the length of the ball valve? I so, is there a way to restore it to the proper position? Please confirm the process that the steps should be fully extended during the installation. Thank you,

The motor and gear assembly can be replaced by first disconnecting the two pin connector from the module to the motor.
Next, remove the p-clamp holding the wire harness to the motor mount.
Then, remove the ball joint linkage from the gear followed by the self-tapping screw that holds the ground wire.
