Determining The Correct Replacement Slide Out Seals For A 2014 Forest River Wildcat

Question:

I am looking to replace the slide out seals or wiper seals on my 2014 Forest River Wildcat. I am not sure of the correct name for the part but it is the part that slides out to make additional space. It slides out on both sides. Looking maybe for a part number or link to buy. Thank so much!

Slide out seals are made up of two components with the first being wiper seals, which are typically flat and "wipe" the sides and top of the slide out box as it moves in and out. The second part of this is a bulb seal, which is typically either rounded or square and compresses as the slide out closes to form a barrier between the wall of the trailer and slide out flange. These two parts can come separate and get attached to each other or be made together as one piece.

You'll want to remove a small portion of the seals to see how they attach to the trailer and measure them to find a matching size. For example, part # SR38FR is an all-in-one seal where the bulb seal is molded to the wiper seal and the wiper seal has a press-on connection that would require a track to connect to. A majority of the time the wiper seal is more like pat # SR36FR though and would come with an adhesive backing and then a bulb seal with an adhesive backing would be used as well.

Let me know what you find on your trailer and send in some pictures and I'd be happy to look for some replacement options.
