What Tire Pressure Should Be Used When Replacing Tires On a Travel Trailer

Question:

What psi do you put new travel trailer tires at? What it says on sidewall or whats listed on the trailer side? Thanks

Expert Reply:

For your travel trailer tires I recommend going with the pressure found on your tires sidewall. The pressure given on the side of the trailer is for the tires the manufacturer installed on the trailer. If you select a replacement tire which has a different psi rating you will want to use the tire manufacturers recommendation to ensure you do not void the tire manufacturers warranty.

An example is the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10245 is rated for 65psi. You want to use this pressure no matter if your trailer lists a higher or lower pressure.
