How To Wire In Three Thermat Heat RV Tank And Pipe Heater Pads

277-000164- holding tank heater pad 277-000162- heater pad I have purchased 1 of the 000164 and 2 of the 000162 how can I wire these together and what size wire and fuse would I use to run 15ft to battery? Thank you

The ThermaHeat RV Dump Valve Pipe and Elbow Heating Pad # 277-000162 pulls 0.3 amps and the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad # 277-000164 pulls 4.8 amps. Assuming that you're having them all run off the same switch and wiring you would be fine using a 10amp fuse # SWC9538 and some 14 gauge wire.

You can run the power wire from the battery to a switch, like part # DG52452VP, and then either splice three separate wires from the switch to the pads or one wire from the switch to pad 1 and then a jumper over to pad 2 and then another jumper over to pad 3. the only drawback of the jumper version would be that if one line went down anything after it would also be down. I drew up a crude drawing of this below.
