Question:
Do I need any of the side shims when putting hitch together for my F350 2021 king ranch with the puck system?

You shouldn't need a side shim to install the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550038 in the puck system of your 2021 Ford F-350. I do recommend loosely installing the side plates and getting the hitch placed into the pucks and then tightening the side bolts since each puck system sits slightly different than the rest. This way you won't have to struggle to get the puck feet to drop into the pucks.
