Ramp Springs For 6 Foot 6 Inch Trailer Door

Question:

I have a 2012 carry on cargo enclosed trailer. One of the tension springs snapped. The set up is there are 2. My trailer is 6.5 by 14 feet. The back lift gate door is 6 feet by 6 feet. Id say it weighs around 100 to 140 pounds ABOUT. THE problem is this is the original an the springs are built into the spools. Please advise

Expert Reply:

For your weight capacity and 6 foot 6 inch door what you can do is use the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 7' Wide Enclosed Trailer - Single Spring - 150-lb Capacity # 362SA7.

This works for 43" to 79" wide trailer doors and has a 150 lb capacity.
