Should a 2005 Flagstaff 206 LTD Popup Camper Have a Breakaway Kit?
Question:
Hiya, does a 2005 flagstaff 206 LTD camper have a trailer break away switch cable? Years ago I had a keystone trailer that came with a break away that was separate from the pigtail wire harness. My recently acquired used 2005 flagstaff pop-up doesnt seem to have one, only the 7-pin wire harness. Should it have one? Possibly modified by the previous owner? Thanks Paul

Due to the light weight of the 2005 Flagstaff 206LTD you may not have any trailer brakes, and then would not need any type of breakaway. If your camper does have electric brakes you should have a Breakaway Switch # FA80-00-2040 to activate the trailer brakes in the event the trailer does come disconnected from your tow vehicle. If you do not have trailer brakes understand the 7-way was added as a charge line to maintain the battery on your camper while traveling.
