How Stable Is Mounting A TruXedo Elevate Ladder Rack To The Bedrail Lip With Clamps

Question:

I am looking at the BAK Revolver X4s cover to be used in conjunction with the Truxedo Elevate ladder rack with the TS rails. It looks like the assembly is clamped to the truck bed with three small clamps on each side. How secure and stable is this combination? I would be hauling kayaks on the ladder rack and they are like huge sails on top of the rack blowing around as I drive.

Yes, both the BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK24ZR and TruXedo Elevate Truck Bed Rack System # TX96NV will clamp onto the inner lip of the bedrails. Clamping down to bedrail lip is pretty standard for all covers and most ladder racks so you don't have anything to worry about when it comes to stability. The rack has a 500lb on-road capacity and 250lb off-road capacity so you shouldn't have any issues hauling the kayaks around. Additional tie-down points can be purchased with part # TH52FR to ensure that your kayaks are fully secured to the crossbars.
