Can 2011 Ram 3500 Short Bed 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Rails Be Installed Together

Question:

Can you use the under bed rails if you have a gooseneck hitch already installed? 2011 Ram 3500 if it matters.

I have a few options for you to utilize both a gooseneck hitch setup as well as using the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch on your 2011 Ram 3500, but unfortunately 5th wheel and gooseneck hitch brackets use the same locations and can't be installed together. You'll have to remove your gooseneck hitch to install a different system:

Reese Integrated Underbed and Gooseneck
- Reese Elite Series Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch parts # RP30852 and # RP30158
- Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550038

I personally like the Reese system I recommended above because you just need the gooseneck hitch ball to tow a gooseneck hitch instead of a whole adapter. The Reese kit is also the same as a Ford OEM puck system so any products designed for a Ford puck system will be compatible with this.
