Can The Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34264403 Be Used Outdoors?
Question:
Can this or a similar product be installed outside. I have a 9kw portable generator. I am wanting to use this or similar product to switch between shot/utility power and generator power automatically. My generator has automatic start, so that’s not an issue. Do you have a wiring diagram for : shore+generator?

The Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34264403 can be used outside but the box is not water tight so you will need to protect it from moisture getting into the box. I have linked the installation instructions below which show the wiring diagram for connecting to shore power and a generator on page 5.
