5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Recommendations for a 2014 Ram 3500 with Factory Prep Package

Since your 2014 Ram 3500 has the factory 5th wheel prep package you have a couple of options. If you want a hitch that will fit directly into the holes in the prep package then you can use B and W 5th Companion hitch # BWRVK3600.
This hitch is rated for up to 25,000 pounds gross trailer weight and up to 6,500 pounds pin weight.
If you do not want a hitch that fits directly into the prep package then you will have to have an adapter, # RP30154. Then you can install any hitch that fits in industry standard above the bed rails.
For this I recommend the Reese 16K hitch # RP30047. This hitch is the workhorse from Reese. It is a popular model and has a 16K gross trailer weight capacity and 4k pin weight capacity. I have included a link to a video review of this hitch for you.
