What do you put in the front gap? Does it need timber front frame and dress piece?

You can definitely use wood to frame in the Better Bath RV Shower Pan # LC342922 to provide support to the front ledge. This will help hold it in place and provide support if someone steps on the ledge instead of stepping through onto the floor of the shower pan. You can also frame around the other sides to prevent any shifting of the pan.
