How Can I Tell If My Trailer Module Needs To Be Replaced
Question:
Have a 2020 Hyundai Tucson Limited - installed the 4 flat trailer wiring harness and worked for at least a year. It stopped working due to a blown fuse the one in the harness. I repaired a bad ground on one of the trailer lights. When I put in a good fuse, both turn signal lights stay on even with the car off. I checked the ground on the harness and it looks and tested good. I suspect I need a new power module which means an entire new harness. My question, could there be other reasons for the problem? Thank you for your help!

It certainly sounds like you are in need of a new module. It is not unheard of for them to go bad. Generally when it works fine for a long period of time, then stops working, this is a sure sign that it needs to be replaced.
We would want to verify that the new fuse you used is a 10 amp, and that you are 100% sure that you have a good ground free of any rust, paint or corrosion. Other than that, there is really nothing else that could cause this issue. The module is wired directly to the battery, so a bad module would 100% explain why the lights are always on. The Tekonsha 118812 is on extended backorder. We do have the Curt # C89KR which is confirmed to fit your 2020 Hyundai Tucson.
