Recommended Tire For Moving Pontoon Boat Trailer On Sand Weighing 2,500LBS

Question:

Is this the best tire/wheel for a 2500lb pontoon trailer to be used in loose sand? Need something that wont sink in really loose sand, will not be using on the road way at any speeds, though the option would be great.

With your pontoon and trailer weighing 2,500lbs you will want to look at the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" White Wheel # AM3H410. This wheel has the same 4 on 4" bolt pattern of the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel # AM3H300 you found. The tire you found is only rated for up to 940lbs per tire or 1,880lbs for a single axle. The 205/65-10 above is rated for 1,330lbs per tire or 2,660lbs for a single axle. You will need to ensure this tire being 20.6" tall and 8.3" wide will clear any fenders or frame parts. If it will not fit your trailer please let me know what your current tire size is and how much clearance you have so I can determine other possible solutions.
