Grease Cap Options For a Boat Trailer Which Came With Standard Spindle and EZ Lube Grease Cap
Question:
My Kodiak brakes came with the EZ lube grease caps with the rubber seal. Since my spindles didnt have the zerk fitting on them, I just packed the bearings and the grease caps with marine grade grease and installed them. Will this suffice on a boat trailer? Or do you suggest a different grease cap?

The Rubber Plug # DC-RP which fits on an EZ Lube Grease Cap # DC200L-DCRP will keep out water as long as the plug is mounted correctly and not damaged. You can replace it with either a Standard Grease Cap # F001518 or Bearing Buddy # BB1980A-SS if your hub bore has an inner diameter of 1.98". The Bearing Buddy will allow you to fill the hub with grease similar to a EZ lube axle.
