Recommended Replacement Air Conditioner Unit For A 2019 Jayco Whitehawk 30RD
Question:
I have a 2019 Jayco Whitehawk 30RD that only has 30 amp service and a single 13.5K Dometic AC unit and it just cannot keep up with 80 plus degrees days. The camper is just too big I think. What would be your recommendation to make my situation better? Thank you!

I recommend replacing your 13,500 BTU Dometic unit with a 15,000 BTU to increase efficiency and keep up with the demand during high temps. Replacement rooftop units with a higher BTU rating will offer you a quick swap out option to help cool your trailer without having to make any cuts.
You'll first want to remove the air distribution box cover and look for the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit and then plugs into the controller. You'll want to take a look at the connector and see if it's a 6-pin or 9-pin connector (pictured below). If you have a 6-pin connector the Furrion Chill HE # FR58PR will be a direct swap out. If you have a 9-pin connector then you'll need part # FR42PV instead to get the unit and an adapter to connect to the controller.
